![]() ![]() In too many (three that I can recall) later chapters, the audio cuts off the character's last few words. ![]() It was off-putting and, at times, made me lurch for the volume control. In early chapters, the voices were clearly added later - the volume, tone, and intonation were not in sync with the storyline. Regrettably, it is an exception when it comes to production values. Shattered is no exception in the writing, character development, and setting. I enjoy the series books because, as a reader, you get a feel for the atmosphere, the setting, and the supporting characters that can't be had in stand-alone editions. She really knows how to set the stage in a way that a variety of characters can take center stage in individual books. I've listened to quite a shocking number of Laurann Dohner's books. A good read, marred by technical difficulties. ![]()
